I am continually fascinated by the diversity of coloration and morphology in birds. My research seeks to understand the evolutionary origins of this diversity. To accomplish so lofty a goal, I integrate information from a number of different research areas, including evolutionary genetics/genomics, phylogenetic comparative analysis, physiology, and ecology.
